What's it all about?

The aim of Pride in Liverpool (PIL) is to increase Liverpudlians knowledge of their city and to engage our community to build respect for their neighbourhood and city as a whole. We will create both an encyclopaedia, and a memory and myths book as a legacy for future generations. This website records the gathered information and will will remain as a living document. You can get involved by starting your own project, or by sharing your thoughts on the forum neighbourhoods forum.

Pride in Liverpool

A contribution made during the exhibition at St.George's Hall on the 7th July 2010

An important word for me is the word 'Homecoming'. Yesterday I joined the 'Philosophy in Pubs Enquiry' session in one of the side rooms on what 'Pride in Liverpool' means. Should we be 'Proud of Liverpool' ? And two words kept cropping up in our discussion: the words 'Connected' and 'Community'.

Pride in Liverpool Projects

Following the exhibition which took place over the 7th, 8th & 9th Juy, we are currently working on the next stage - the website information and the books to be published. This is the first year of such an event for Pride in Liverpool exhibition and it will continue over the years.

So many people had the opportunity to show their input...some absolutely fantastic projects, some wonderful memories shared...some unbelievable generous input of time, effort and energy made.

The Future of Pride in Liverpool

Welcome to the people we met at the LCVS Its a Knockout event on Sunday 22nd August. Pride in Liverpool is looking forward to more and Road Shows and events. Please contact me via e-mail or phone and we can then arrange a date and time to visit your venue. It was a great day at Mossley Hill Athletic Club...the sun shone and lots of fun and enjoyment over the day. Well done LCVS.
